Incorporated on 11 February 2014 ;  

registered with Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.

 

OBJECTIVE

To promote financial awareness , depositors education, imparting financial literacy in the state of Odisha ;

to further the financial inclusion process by conducting financial literacy camps in various towns, villages  and educational institutions .

VISION

Empowering society through financial literacy , focusing youth, women and  people of small income groups.

MISSION

To impart financial knowledge to general public, school, college students, MSME customers , SHG members on basics of finance, banking, non banking financial companies (NBFCs), Technology in banks, Government Schemes viz. Jan Dhan Yojana, Micro-insurance schemes, MUDRA,   capital market, and pension schemes; organise  depositor education and investor awareness programs.

Strategy

The entity (AFLC ) organizes financial literacy camps in schools, colleges and in business schools to reach out the youth for enhancing their knowledge and skills in financial products, markets and institutions.
AFLC organizes financial awareness camps in villages so that financially illiterate people can have access to the formal financial system,get to know the banking, insurance and pension products and would be confident to handle banking transactions including deposit products, mobile banking efficiently.
National Strategy for Financial Education (2009) document of government of India emphasizes that financial education is needed for inclusive growth.

Imparting financial literacy could be a multi-agency approach.
